Who doesn’t love some salsa?
My salsa recipe (like most) is made of all healthy ingredients! You can modify the recipe to your liking and dip whatever kinds of chips you want in your delicious salsa.
Spicy Salsa
2 large tomatoes 1 small jalapeños onion 2 fresh jalapeños
1 green pepper 1/4 cup cilantro 3 tbsp lime juice
1/2 tsp salt 2 tbsp garlic powder 2 tbsp cayenne pepper
Finely chop all vegetables and mix them in a large bowl. Take half of the vegetables and pulse them lightly in a food processor or blender. Combine with the chopped mixture. Add garlic, chopped cilantro, lime, cayenne pepper and salt into the vegetable mixture. Enjoy your awesome salsa!
How about some creamy Hummus?
This Hummus is so so good! One of the key ingredients in Hummus is Chick Peas, which offer a great deal of protein. Not only do Chick Peas have protein but they also contain fiber so you are indulging in a snack that not only satisfies your taste buds, but its great for your body too!
Lemon & Garlic Hummus
1 can chick peas (drained/keep liquid) Juice of a large lemon
2 tablespoons of tahini 1 clove garlic
1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. hot sauce
1 tsp. cayenne pepper (for top) Olive oil (for top)
Add chick peas, tahini, salt, hot sauce, lemon and garlic into a food processor or blender. Pulse until you reach a creamy consistency. Once you reach your desired texture, place mixture into a bowl and top with light olive oil and sprinkle cayenne pepper overtop. Eat up!
